Books:
Christopher and Valérie, the last survivors of the 20th century, awake in 2981, a time when Earth is threatened
by alien, intelligent rats. They then fight the Tapir, a villain from another universe. Later, they explore new
worlds.
The first two instalments of the series, initially based on a title suggested by Pierre Versins, premiered in 1964
in the short-lived French comic magazine Chouchou.
The full story was partially redrawn by Gillon and serialised in the daily newspaper France-Soir in 1974, then released as two, bichromic graphic novels by Hachette in 1974 and 1975. Two
more volumes (in color) were then released, also by Hachette, in 1976. The books were later reprinted by Les Humanoïdes
and the series was continued by Gillon alone.
