Lazarus Jones is an American war veteran, the legless survivor of a combat helicopter crash in Vietnam. Living
in the care of his wife, he has passed through years of alcoholism and despair, haunted by nightmare visions of
the war and the friends he lost there.
After an auto accident, Laz is thrown into a coma and passes beyond the barrier of death, where a spirit guide
leads him to a great galaxy of Light, wheeling in infinite Darkness. Laz is reunited with the members of
his gunship from ‘Nam.
In this afterlife dimension, his friends invite Laz to join the great ten thousand-year war against the hellish
legions of the Outer Darkness...
